You will need to have SQL Server available either on the network or on your
local system. As mentioned in the book introduction, it is assumed you have
basic SQL Server skills for exercises involving the use of SQL Server.
We will first walk through the wizard and then talk about the ramifications of
the upsizing. On the Tools menu select Database Utilities, then Upsizing Wizard.
Figure 2-11 shows the startup of the Upsizing Wizard.
In this case a new database is being created, so select that option. Click the
Next button to continue.
The next screen requires that you select your server where the database will
be created. Select the appropriate server and security. The database will be named
Models (you can keep the ModelsSQL that is defaulted). Figure 2-12 shows the
wizard screen.
Next, you are given the option of selecting the tables to export. In this case we
want to export all of the tables to the new database. Figure 2-13 shows the selection.
The next step in the wizard is to set the table attributes you would like to export
to the new database. If you select the Indexes check box, the Upsizing Wizard
upsizes all indexes. The Upsizing Wizard converts Microsoft Access primary keys
